Cancellation Policy: All Travel and Document Printing costs are due as they occur, regardless of whether Notarial Act(s) occur. If we are unable to complete your service at no fault of our own (invalid document, invalid identification, non-able signers) you are still responsible for Travel and Document Printing costs.

Requirements for Notarization

All person(s) signing documents must be visible mentally well and competent, and must be able verify to the Notary Public that they are understanding and wishing to execute documents to be notarized.

The Notary Public must witness all notarized signatures to occur. Signatures to be notarized cannot be pre-signed before the Notary Public arrives.

The Notary Public must be able to verify the identity of all person(s) signing documents. Valid identification must be presented. Sufficient forms of identification include:

  • A current driver’s license or identification card issued by any U.S. State
  • A U.S. passport book or card or an officially recognized passport of a foreign country
  • A current U.S. military identification card
  • A current identity card issued by a federally recognized Indian tribe
  • A current ID issued by the U.S. Federal government or a state, county, municipal, or other local government containing a photograph, signature, and physical description.

How do you structure your fee?

Oregon sets a mandated universal notary fee of $10 per notarial act. Rates for the time and resource for auxiliary services such as travel and document printing, scanning, or sending are set at the discretion of the Notary Public.

How do you calculate mileage?

Unless otherwise discussed at scheduling, mileage is calculated from Roseburg, OR “city center” – intersection of Stephens St. & Diamond Lake Blvd.

Who do you share data with?

Oregon requires that all Notary Publics maintain journals of Notarial Acts, including signer names. We do not share or disclose this information to any outside party unless a valid legal request, subpoena, or other procedure requires us to do so.
